about
Hi! I'm Serzat.
I'm a metallurgical and materials engineer. I had a training mainly in chemical and physical metallurgy. I did my master's degree in extractive metallurgy and technologies engineering. I have been carrying out engineering studies using modeling and simulation methods for 8 years. I started this adventure by calculating with the finite element method in order to understand the mechanical properties of materials. I also started working on new methods, especially in the multiphysics concept, to solve complex problems in casting, solidification, electroplating, mechanical forming and chemical reduction processes. My main areas of study are computational fluid dynamics, semiconductor device physics and design, granular flow and particle interactions, atomistic interactions, molecular dynamics and density functional theory. I now work more on electronic device design and physics with the finite element method. In studies based on computational fluid dynamics, I focus on modeling cleanroom fabrication device processes. Over the years, my interest shifted more to semiconductor materials design and development of interatomic potentials. In summary, these days, I mostly study molecular dynamics and density functional theory.
When I was building this website, I didn't think to just share my notes or suggestions. I love to teach, interact and share. And of course, continuous learning. Sometimes I say that I am a professional student as a profession.
